John Tuma, Government Relations Associate

John is a former state legislator and litigation attorney.  He served in the Minnesota House of Representatives for eight years from the Northfield area, beginning in 1994.  Elected as a Republican, John was known for his independent thinking and ability to work across party lines.  He carried the marquee legislation for several state agencies and organizations representing a wide variety of interests from small businesses, local governments, chiropractors, trial lawyers, CPAs, sexual abuse victims and the environment. 

He is well-known in Minnesota state government circles where he has developed deep and positive associations with key legislators, staff, agency heads, business leaders, lobbyists and members of the press corps.  John earned his JD from the University of Minnesota and BA, in political science, from the Mankato State University.
